  If the crimp diameter is too large on your Custom Crimp Crimp tool, first check the Micro-Crimp Adjuster setting against the crimp specifications. Verify you're using the correct die, keeping in mind each die has a usable range of approximately 3mm (.120 in) above its closed diameter. Check and recalibrate the crimper if needed. Ensure adequate pump pressure by checking the oil level, which should be 1-1/2 to 2 inches below the fill plug, and replenish with ISO Viscosity Grade 46 hydraulic oil if necessary. Also, ensure proper lubrication of the dies and compression ring with the supplied crimpx oil/grease or a high-pressure molybdenum grease equivalent.
