3. After logging in, the Setup Wizard will appear. Follow the on-
screen instructions to set up your DIR-506L.
If you have configured your DIR-506L before and the Setup Wizard
does not start, click the Internet Connection Setup Wizard
button.
Note: If you set your DIR-506L to use Repeater Mode, it is recommended that you use
a different Wi-Fi network name. If you use the same Wi-Fi network name, it will extend
your existing Wi-Fi network and will no longer be listed as a separate Wi-Fi network.
You can connect your devices to your existing Wi-Fi network as normal, and verify the
DIR-506L is working by observing increased signal strength.
Connection Setup Through a Browser
You can use a web browser on your PC or mobile device to configure
your DIR-506L for all the different connection modes, as well as the
advanced settings of your router.
2. Open a web browser, and go to http://dlinkrouter.local. By
default, the User Name is admin, and the Password should be left
blank.
1. Connect to the DIR-506L wirelessly using the following information:
• Default Wi-Fi SSID: dlink_DIR-506L
• Default Password: (leave this blank)
