Questions and Answers

Why are there spots and filming on my Daewoo DDWA1211L Dishwasher glasses and flatware?
    • M
      Mark WadeAug 15, 2025
Spots and filming occur due to several reasons: extremely hard water, low inlet temperature, overloading the dishwasher, improper loading, old or damp powder detergent, an empty rinse agent dispenser, or incorrect detergent dosage. To remove spots, take out all metal utensils, don't add detergent, choose the longest cycle, let it run for 18-22 minutes, add 2 cups of white vinegar to the bottom, and complete the cycle. If vinegar doesn't work, repeat using 1/4 cup of citric acid crystals instead.

What to do if my Daewoo Dishwasher has suds in the tub?
    • J
      Jason McguireAug 18, 2025
Suds in the tub are caused by improper detergent or spilled rinse agent. To resolve this, use only special dishwasher detergent. If suds occur, open the dishwasher and let them evaporate. Add 1 gallon of cold water, close and latch the dishwasher, then start the 'pre-rinse' wash cycle to drain the water. Repeat if necessary. Also, wipe up any rinse agent spills immediately.

Why are dishes and flatware not clean in my Daewoo Dishwasher?
    • B
      brendamurphyAug 21, 2025
If your dishes and flatware aren't getting clean, it could be due to an improper program selection or improper basket loading. Select a stronger program and make sure that large dishware isn't blocking the detergent dispenser or spray arms.

    Mr. Kyle Smith Jr.Aug 25, 2025
Why is there a yellow or brown film on the inside of my Daewoo DDWA1211L Dishwasher?
    • B
      Betty TownsendAug 25, 2025
A yellow or brown film on the inside surfaces is likely due to tea or coffee stains, or iron deposits in the water. Remove tea or coffee stains by hand using a solution of 1/2 cup of bleach and 3 cups of warm water. For iron deposits, contact a water softener company for a special filter.

How to fix cloudiness on glassware in my Daewoo DDWA1211L Dishwasher?
    • D
      Danielle DavenportAug 28, 2025
Cloudiness on glassware is often due to a combination of soft water and too much detergent. If you have soft water, use less detergent and select a shorter cycle to wash the glassware.

What causes a white film on the inside surface of my Daewoo DDWA1211L Dishwasher?
    • A
      avilakatherineAug 31, 2025
A white film on the inside surface is caused by hard water minerals. To clean the interior, use a damp sponge with dishwasher detergent and wear rubber gloves. Never use any cleaner other than dishwasher detergent to avoid foaming or suds.

Why is detergent left in the dispenser cups of my Daewoo DDWA1211L?
    • B
      brandonsanchezSep 4, 2025

What to do if my Daewoo DDWA1211L Dishwasher detergent dispenser lid cannot be closed properly?
    • T
      trevorwilsonSep 7, 2025
If the detergent dispenser lid cannot be closed properly, it's likely that clogged detergent residue is blocking the catch. Clean the detergent from the catch.

Why is the tub interior stained in my Daewoo Dishwasher?
    • A
      anitaharrisonSep 12, 2025
A stained tub interior happens when detergent with colorant was used. Make sure that the detergent you are using is without colorant.
