Usage Features

Control Panel Functions: The control panel includes buttons for:

  • POWER: Turns the washer on/off.
  • WATER TEMP.: Selects water temperature (COLD, COLD+HOT, HOT). For single valve models, this function is not available.
  • WATER LEVEL: Adjusts water amount based on load size (MID, HIGH, LOW).
  • RES. (Reservation): Sets a pre-engaged time for washing, ranging from 2 to 48 hours.
  • PROCESS: Selects partial processes or combinations of wash, rinse, and spin.
  • CONTROL: Used to change wash time, rinse times, or spin time after selecting a process. Can also be used for spin-only operation.
  • PROGRAM: Selects full-automatic programs in the following order: FUZZY → FUZZY+SOAK → HEAVY → HEAVY+SOAK → SPEEDY → SUIT(WOOL).
  • START/HOLD: Starts or temporarily stops operation. Allows changing programs during operation.

Full Automatic Programs:

  • FUZZY PROGRAM (SENSOR): For general washing. An artificial brain sensor automatically selects washing conditions (time, rinse times, spin time, water level).
  • HEAVY PROGRAM: Effective for heavily soiled items like blue-jeans, climbing clothes, rucksacks, and sportswear.
  • SPEEDY PROGRAM: Reduces water consumption and washing time for less dirty clothes.
  • SUIT(WOOL) PROGRAM: For suit clothes (limited to 1.2kg per wash). Requires neutral detergents and fixed to "COLD" water temperature. "LOW" water level is not selected. Leather or chamois clothes should not be washed to prevent shrinkage or deformation.
  • SOAK PROGRAM: For heavily soiled clothes. Can be combined with FUZZY or HEAVY programs (e.g., "FUZZY+SOAK").

Partial Process & Combination:

  • WASH TIME CONTROL: Adjusts wash time (12→15→18→0→6→9 min). Can be set to 0 min to skip washing.

  • SPIN TIME CONTROL: Adjusts spin time (5→7→9→0→1→3 min). Can be set to 0 min to skip spinning.
  • CONVENIENT OPERATION FOR SPIN ONLY: Allows direct spin operation by pressing POWER, CONTROL, then START/HOLD.

Preparing Clothes for Washing:

  • Close zippers, snaps, and hooks. Remove pins, buckles, and hard objects.
  • Empty pockets and turn them inside out.
  • Turn down cuffs and synthetic knits to avoid pilling.
  • Tie strings and sashes.
  • Treat spots and stains.

Sorting:

  • Separate heavily soiled items from lightly soiled ones.
  • Separate dark colors from light colors, and colorfast items from non-colorfast items.

Loading:

  • Drop items loosely for easy movement and best results.
  • Load evenly to maintain washer balance and prevent vibration during spin.
  • Mix large and small items.
  • Avoid overloading, which can lead to poor cleaning, increased wrinkling, excessive lint, and faster wear.
  • Use a large load size setting for permanent press clothes and synthetic knits to reduce wrinkling.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning Your Washer:

  • Exterior: Wipe up spills with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Interior: Clean with 250ml chlorine bleach mixed with 500ml detergent, running a complete cycle.
  • Lint Filter: Pull the filter frame upward, turn the lint filter inside out, wash off lint with water, then return and insert the filter frame into the slot.
  • Water Inlet Filter: Pull the power plug, turn off water supply, separate the inlet hose, pull out the inlet filter, and remove dirt with a brush.
  • Drain Filter (Pump-Model): Located at the back. Put a container under the filter to collect water, turn the cap counterclockwise, pull out the filter assembly, clean it, then put it back along the guiding prominence and turn the cap clockwise tightly. Clean every 10 uses to prevent drain problems.

Winter Storage or Moving Care:

  • To winterize: Turn off water faucet, disconnect and drain water inlet hoses, run washer on a drain and spin setting for 1 minute, and unplug the power supply cord.
  • To use again: Flush water pipes and hoses, reconnect water inlet hoses, turn on water faucet, and reconnect power supply cord.
  • Non-use or vacation care: Unplug the power supply cord or turn off electrical power, and turn off the water supply to prevent accidental flooding from water pressure surges.

Troubleshooting: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common issues like:

  • Washer not operating (power failure, cord connection, fuse, power on, Start/Hold button, water amount).
  • Water not supplied (inlet hose connection, water tap, frozen hose/tap, water supply shut off, blocked inlet hose filter).
  • Washer not draining (frozen/blocked drain hose, kinked/deformed drain hose, immersed drain hose end, excessive dirt in pump housing).
  • Washer not spinning (clothes collected on one side, unbalanced tub, uneven floor, serious vibration, open lid).
  • Identifies normal operating sounds (water inlet valve "wing" sound, autobalancer "sha" sound) as non-malfunctions.

Stain Removal Guide: Provides instructions for removing various stains (blood, chewing gum, cocoa/chocolate, coffee, cream/milk/ice cream, deodorant, egg, fabric softener, fruit, grass, grease/oil, iron/rust, lipstick, mildew, mud, paint-oil based, paint-water based, scorch marks) using specific methods and cleaning agents. Key rules include using warm water for soaking/prewashing, treating stains when fresh, checking fabric colorfastness, and applying remover to the back of the stain.
