WIRING
The MLX-3012 is a direct plug in; the only wiring is optional
via MBM expansion modules, sold separately.

INDICATORS
The MLX-3012 features several indicators which are activated
by the bike’s wiring harness. These include security (red key
symbol), check engine (red ‘E’), ABS (red ‘ABS’), low fuel
(amber fuel pump symbol). Left turn, right turn, high beam,
neutral, low oil, park, and reverse indicators can also be
optionally displayed within the graphical area of the display.
Cruise on and cruise engage may also be displayed as a
temporary pop up message in the top message location. Keep
in mind that all indicators may not be active on your bike.
LOW VOLTAGE WARNING
When the voltage drops below the warning limit with the engine running, “VOLTS LOW” and your current voltage will be
displayed (default warning limit is 11.0V).
SPEEDOMETER
The speedometer is read from the engine control module (ECM) data bus. This can be calibrated to allow for differences
in tires or gearing. Calibration is discussed further in the Speedometer section.
TACHOMETER
The tachometer is read from the ECM data bus.
The tachometer displays RPM x1000 with a range of 500-6500 RPM. The RPM can also optionally be shown on the
message display which displays 0-9999 RPM.
