      There are several reasons why your Danby air conditioner might not be working. It could be due to a power outage, so wait for the power to return. Ensure the plug is properly plugged in. Check if a plug current device has tripped and press the reset button after resolving the problem. Make sure the control is turned ON and set to the desired setting. The unit will not cool until the room temperature rises above 17°C (62°F). Straighten the temperature sensing element if it's touching the cold coil behind the air filter. Reset to a lower temperature if the temperature is set too high. If the compressor shut off by changing modes, wait approximately 3 minutes and listen for the compressor to restart when in cool mode. To defrost coil if the outdoor temperature is below 17°C (62°F), set to FAN...
