Preventive maintenance
Introduction In order for home ventilation to operate safely it is necessary to carry out preventive
maintenance, e.g. replacing filters and cleaning the unit.
Changing of
filters
Change the filters when the filter alarm is visible on the control panel (the diode flashes
yellow on and off) and the acoustic filter alarm bleeps (once every hour).
+
Step Action
1 Disconnect the power supply to the unit.
2 Open the top door and fold out the bracket for
the door.
3 Remove the insulating cover plates in front of
the filters.
Note that the smooth side of the cover plates
must be turned towards the front door.
4 Change the filters and discard the old filters in
an environment-friendly way (flammable mate-
rial).
Note the arrows on the filters – they must point
down!
The filter opening areas are for filters
only!
5 Set back the filter insulating cover plates. It is important that they face the
hard, smooth side outwards and the soft side inward.
6 Reconnect the power supply.
7 Reset the filter alarm by pushing the button for
two seconds and then close the door again.
Check that the green light-emitting diode on
the control panel alights.
Cleaning
Keep the unit clean to ensure perfect operation and good hygiene.
If the unit is filthy, e.g. around filter openings, clean with a firmly wrung dishcloth with
tepid water and detergent.
Important: Chemical solvents are not allowed!
Terms for war-
ranty
The factory warranty is only valid when preventive maintenance can be proven. Preven-
tive maintenance must be carried out with a minimum interval of six months.
Documentation of maintenance should be a written log/journal. Regarding which ser-
vices needed, see the section ”Preventive maintenance” in the installation guide.
