REMOVE
AND INSTAL

Raise the
engine
bonnet and
fit
fender
covers
to
both front fenders
2 Mark around the
bonnet
hinge
plates
on the
bonnet wIth
a
soft
lead
pencil
to facilitate correct
replacement
and remove
the bonnet
3 Remove the radiator
cap
and
drain
the
coohng
system
vra the drain
tap
on
the
lower radiator tank

Remove
the
sump
and
transmission drain
plugs
and
drain the lubricant from both
assemblies
5
Disconnect the
leads
at
the
battery
terminals and
remove the
battery
from the
engine
compartment
6 Disconnect
the
ventilatIOn hose from
the
I
rocker
cover
and
remove
the air cleaner
assembly
7 Disconnect
and remoye
the
upper
and
lower
radiator
hoses
and the heater
hoses where
apphcable
8
Unscrew
the
fixing
bolts and detach
the
radiator
grille
9 On
vehicles
fitted wIth
automatic
transmiSSIOn
disconnect the
torque
converter
cooling
pipes
at the lower
radiator tank
plug
the
pipes
and
umons to
prevent
entry
of
dirt

Remove the radiator
retaining
bolts and
hft
out
the
radiator

Slacken
the alternator
mountlllg
boIts and remove
the fan belt Remove the four boIts fan and
pulley
from
the
water
pump

Disconnect the
wlfes at the 011
pressure
switch
temperature
sender umt coil and alternator
