PREPARATION
FOR
INSPECTION

Before
cleaning
check
for
sign
of
water
and
oilloaks

Clean
oil
and
carbon
deposits
from
all
parts
They
should
be
clean
from
gasket
or
sealant

Clean
all
oil
holes
with
solvent
and
dry
with
compressed
air
Make
sure
that
they
are
not
restricted

Never
remove
camshaft
bearings
unless
you
have
a
witable
machine
for
boring
camshaft
bearing
in line
If
you
once
remove
camshaft
bearings

centers

alignment
and
reconditioning
is
very
difficult
without
center
borings

check
for
cracks
and
flaws

Measure
the
surface
of
cylinder
head
on
cylinder
block

for
warpage
