The DaVinci Kalani M5582 is a convertible crib designed to grow with your child. It functions primarily as a crib for infants, providing a safe sleeping environment. The crib features multiple mattress support positions, allowing you to lower the mattress as your child grows and becomes able to stand. This ensures the child remains safely contained within the crib. Beyond its primary function as a crib, the M5582 can be converted into a toddler bed and a full-size bed with the purchase of additional conversion kits (M3099 for toddler bed, M5789 for full-size bed). This multi-stage design extends the product's usability from infancy through childhood and into adolescence. Safety Warnings:
- General Crib Safety: Read all instructions before assembly and keep them for future use. Do not use the crib if any parts are missing, damaged, or broken. Ensure all bolts and fasteners are tightened firmly.
- Suffocation Hazard (Crib): Never use plastic shipping bags or other plastic film as mattress covers. Do not use soft bedding, pillows, or comforters. Never add additional padding under an infant. Babies can suffocate in gaps between the crib sides and a too-small mattress.

- Anti-Tip Device (Dresser): Children have died from furniture tip-over. Always install the provided anti-tip device. Never put a TV on this product. Never allow children to stand, climb, or hang on drawers, doors, or shelves. Never open more than one drawer at a time. Place the heaviest items in the lowest drawers.
