5.1 Recommendations
When using the remote control, keep in mind the following:
The remote control must be less than 8 metres away from the receiver.
Point the remote control at the unit.
Make sure there are no obstacles between the remote control and the
unit.
Do not throw or drop the remote control.
Do not expose the remote control to direct sunlight or place it close to
heating appliances or other sources of heat.

Use alkaline and non rechargeable batteries.
If you are not intending to use the remote control for an extended period
of time, remove the batteries.
Replace the batteries if there is no signal transmission to the indoor unit
(accompanied by a beep) or if the transmission symbol does not appear
on the remote control LCD.
The batteries should be disposed of properly, in compliance with local
regulations.
