Tips and practical use
With DEFA Home, you can divide your cabin/house into 1-6 different heating zones. These
zones have their own profile and you can choose whether they should be controlled individu-
ally or collectively. In each zone you can have multiple DEFA Home Sockets, but only one
DEFA Home Temperature Sensor.
IN A SUMMER HOUSE WITH RUNNING WATER
(WITH FROST PROTECTION/THERMOSTATIC CONTROL)
If you have a house with running water, it will be necessary to use thermostatic control to
keep the whole house or individual zones of the house frost-free. It is essential that you have
a temperature monitor in the zone where the temperature is controlled. The Base Unit has a
built-in temperature sensor that is always connected to zone 1. For thermostatic control of
multiple zones, you can buy a separate wireless temperature sensor and install it where it will
monitor.
IN A HOUSE WITHOUT RUNNING WATER (WITHOUT FROST PROTECTION)
If you have a house without running water and don’t have to keep the house frost-free and
only want to turn on the heat to warm up the house before you arrive, you can choose the OFF/
ON function. This lets you use the thermostat on the radiator to keep the upper temperature
limit (comfort temperature).
