Problems that may prevent full use of
the DEFA Home system
COVERAGE
The Base Unit can be connected to an external antenna. If you experience problems with
coverage, you can easily unscrew the antenna and install an external, more powerful antenna.
Please contact us for advice about this.
THE BACK-UP BATTERY
The Base Unit can rely on battery power for a few hours but should always be connected to
a 230V adapter. Make sure the Base Unit always has a 230V connection in order for the
battery to be charged properly.
RADIO RANGE
The wireless accessories have a radio range of about 30 meters in an open space. The signal
range is reduced when passing through walls / floors / ceilings. When the equipment is used
at longer distances, ensure that there is minimal distance between the Base Unit and the
sensors in order to achieve the best possible communication.
