      Your Defiant Flood Light may stay on due to several reasons: the motion sensor might be detecting a heat source like an air vent or heat-reflective surface (try decreasing the 'SENS' setting or moving the sensor); the sensor could be in manual mode (switch it to auto); a dimmer or timer is in use (replace it with a standard on/off switch); or the light is on a circuit with motors or fluorescent bulbs (install it on a separate circuit).

      Your Defiant Flood Light may be flashing because heat or light from the bulbs is activating the motion sensor (reposition the lamp heads). Alternatively, reflected heat from other objects may be the cause (decrease the “SENS” setting or reposition the sensor). If the motion sensor is in 'TEST' mode, it will only stay on for 8 seconds (set the 'ON-TIME' switch to 1, 5, or 20 minutes).
