Use the Silent Mode
™
to temporarily turn off the lock/arm or
unlock/disarm confirmation honks by briefly pressing before
either locking/arming or unlocking/disarming the system. The
confirmation honk(s) will then be eliminated for that one opera-
tion only. To permanently turn off the lock/arm and unlock/disarm
confirmation honks, contact your installation dealer.
You can prevent your system from automatically activating and
locking the doors, by using Valet
®
Mode. This is very useful when
washing the vehicle or having it serviced. In Valet
®
Mode, the sys-
tem will not activate the optional Starter Kill, even with the trans-
mitter, but all convenience functions (door locks, trunk release,
etc.) will work normally.
To enter or exit Valet
®
Mode using your transmitter:
1. Open any door.
2. Press .
3. Press .
4. Press again.
The Status LED will light solid if you are entering Valet Mode, and
it will go out if you are exiting Valet Mode.
