Function
To indicate whether or not a special X2-axis is installed, which movement is relative to the
movement of the X-axis. Press the key to select the required setting.
Description
This parameter must be set to ‘1' if a special backgauge is installed. With this system, the
backgauge finger for the X-axis is fixed on a beam and the X2-construction is mounted on the
same beam.

Such an axis should be configured as follows:
• the parameter ‘X2 relative to X’ should be programmed to 1
• the parameter ‘backgauge type’ should be programmed to 0(=console)
• the parameter ‘decimal point position’ should be the same as for the X-axis
• the minimum and maximum values should be according to the mechanical range of the X2-
gauge
• the reference position should be adjusted such, that its zero position equals the position of
the X1-axis.
In user mode the X2 value is converted for the user. If X1 and X2 are programmed equal then
the two fingers will have the same backgauge position.
