I. Overview
1.1 Scope of Application
XJ3 series relays are used in the three-phase AC motor control circuits for phase loss protection and in the
irreversible transmission equipment for phase sequence protection.
The XJ3 is connected to the power control circuit according to the method shown in the wiring diagram for
protection, and can work when the fuse of any phase in the three-phase circuit is burnt or the circuit opens to cut
off KM main circuit power; XJ3-2 relay only works for protection of the phase loss when the motor starts rather
than during the operation of motor, thereby realizing the purpose of motor protection.
For equipment (such as water pumps, fans, air compressors, elevator motors, small and medium-sized distribution
panels) with irreversible three-phase, after the phase sequence is identified, the XJ3 can also work reliably and
identify the phase sequence when the actual phase sequence is different from the original identified phase
sequence due to the repair or changes of the power supply line to cut off the power supply of KM main circuit for
equipment protection.

II. Normal Working conditions and Installation Conditions
2.1 Working environment: the altitude does not exceed 2000 meters; the ambient temperature is not higher than
+40°C and not below -5°C; the voltage variation range of the rated control power supply is 85%-110% of the
rated voltage; Installed in places where there is no medium without harsh vibration or explosive hazard or the
medium does not contain gas or conductive dust that causes metal corrosion or damage to the insulation free from
the rain or snow erosion.
2.2 Vertical or horizontal installation.
