Replacing the Support Bracket
Removing the Support Bracket

1. Follow the procedures in Before You Begin.

2. Remove the computer cover (see Removing the Computer Cover).

3. Remove the screw that secures the card retention bracket to the chassis.

4. Push the card retention bracket towards the back of the computer.

5. Note the routing of the cables through the clamp under the support bracket and remove the cables.

6. Pivot the support bracket up and lift it off the hinge-tab slot.

7. Set the support bracket aside in a secure location.
