Removing the Front Stand
Replacing the Front Stand

CAUTION: Only a certified service technician should perform repairs on your computer. Damage due to
servicing that is not authorized by Dell™ is not covered by your warranty.
CAUTION: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by
periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on your computer).
Removing the Front Stand
1. Follow the instructions in Before You Begin.
2. Remove the back cover (see Removing the Back Cover
).
3. Remove the four screws that secure the front-stand assembly to the computer.
4. Lift the rear stand so that the front stand is accessible.
5. Lift the front-stand assembly away from the computer.

6. Remove the two screws that secure the I/O bracket to the front stand.
7. Release the five tabs that secure the I/O bracket to the front stand.
8. Remove the I/O bracket from the front stand.
