Overview

The Dellonda DL13 is a 36L portable compressor fridge freezer/cool box designed for versatile use in cars, camping, and general travel. It operates on 12V, 24V, or 230V power supplies, making it suitable for both home and vehicle use.

Function Description:

This stylish and compact unit functions as a fridge freezer, capable of maintaining temperatures between -20°C and +20°C. Its primary purpose is to keep food and beverages cool or frozen during long road trips, camping adventures, or any situation requiring portable refrigeration. The unit features a dual-zone design, allowing individual temperature control for each compartment. However, if the zone divider is removed, only one temperature will be displayed and controlled. The compressor ensures efficient cooling performance.

  • Cleaning:
    • Always remove the power plug before cleaning or maintenance.
    • DO NOT use abrasive or chemical cleaning materials.
    • Wipe interior and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
    • For more soiled surfaces, use a neutral detergent, then wipe down with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  • Defrosting:
    • Power off the unit, raise the lid, empty the contents, and allow it to defrost.
    • Carefully use a defrosting shovel to remove thawed ice.
    • Remove the drain plug and collect melt water in a suitable container (DO NOT tip the unit to drain).
    • Wipe the internals dry with a clean, dry cloth to absorb any remaining liquid.

Safety Instructions:

  • Pre-Use: Allow the unit to stand on a level surface for 6 hours after unpacking and before first switch-on.
  • Placement: Keep the unit horizontal while running. Allow 10cm side and 20cm rear space for ventilation. Keep the unit dry and away from any heat source.
  • Electrical Safety:
    • Always check electrical equipment and appliances for safety before use.
    • Inspect power supply leads, plugs, and connections for wear and damage regularly.
    • Ensure the appliance's voltage rating matches the power supply.
    • The plug must be fitted with the correct fuse (13A recommended).
    • DO NOT pull or carry the appliance by the power cable, or pull the plug from the socket by the cable.
    • DO NOT use worn or damaged cables, plugs, or connectors.
    • Faulty items should be repaired or replaced by a qualified electrician immediately.
    • If the cable or plug is damaged, switch off the electricity supply and remove from use. Replace with a BS1363/A 13 Amp 3 pin plug.
    • For Class II products (marked with the Class II symbol), connect the BROWN live wire to terminal 'L' and the BLUE neutral wire to terminal 'N'. Ensure no bare wires and all wires are correctly connected. The cable outer sheath must extend inside the cable restraint, and the restraint must be tight.
    • DO NOT connect either wire to the earth terminal.
    • Dellonda recommends using an RCD (Residual Current Device) with all electrical products.
    • For business use, the product must be routinely PAT (Portable Appliance Test) tested.
    • When used in modern vehicles, check with the vehicle manufacturer for specific instructions regarding the use of this type of equipment.
