This document describes a convection oven with electronic controls, available in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Function Description:
The device is a versatile convection oven designed for various cooking tasks, including baking, broiling, pizza cooking, keeping warm, defrosting, rotisserie, and dehydrating. It features electronic controls for precise temperature and time adjustments, offering a wide range of cooking options for different food types.
Important Technical Specifications:
- Power Supply: The oven requires a nearby 120 Volt 60 Hz three-prong grounded power outlet. It is crucial to ensure proper grounding to prevent electric shock. The appliance is equipped with a three-wire cord and a 3-blade grounding plug. If an extension cord is used, it must be a three-wire grounding type, rated for at least 15 amps, 120 volts, and have Underwriters Laboratories/CSA listing.
- Temperature Range: The oven offers a broad temperature conversion table, ranging from 120°C (250°F) to 245°C (475°F), allowing for precise temperature control for various recipes.
- Timer: The oven includes a timer function, allowing users to set cooking durations, with a maximum setting of 3 hours.
- Display: The control panel features a digital display that shows the current time, temperature settings, and countdown during cooking.
- Accessories: The oven comes with several accessories, including an upper heating element, oven light, clasp for drop-down heating element, rotisserie spit mount, control panel, lower heating element, crumb tray with heat deflectors, shallow pan, wire rack (two provided), pizza tray, spit, spit supports, lasagna tray, and an optional dehydrator kit.
Usage Features:
- Control Panel: The control panel is intuitive, featuring buttons for display, ON power, KEEP WARM indicator, FAN/BAKE indicator, BAKE indicator, PROGRAM, PIZZA button/indicator, TIMER, TEMPERATURE, STOP/CANCEL, START, and TIME ADJUST (+/-).
- Setting the Clock: To set the clock, press the CLOCK button (13), then use the TIME ADJUST buttons (12, 18) to set the desired time. The display will show the set time, which will blink until confirmed.
- Pizza Function: This function is specifically designed for cooking pizzas. Users can select from P1 (small pizzas), P2 (medium pizzas), or P3 (large/homemade pizzas). The oven preheats to 375°F. The pizza tray should be placed on the wire rack in slot 3.
- Bake and Fan/Bake Functions: These functions are suitable for various baking needs. Users can select the desired temperature and time. The FAN/BAKE function provides convection cooking, which ensures even heat distribution and faster cooking. For optimal results, place food on the wire rack (H) or in the shallow pan (I).
- Broiling Function: The broiling function is ideal for browning and crisping food. The oven preheats for 5 minutes. Food should be placed on the wire rack (H) with the shallow pan (I) underneath to catch drippings. For best results, leave an empty space of around 1 inch at the ends of the wire rack.
- Keep Warm Function: This function maintains food at a warm temperature (140°F) without overcooking, ideal for keeping dishes ready to serve.
- Defrosting Function: The defrosting function thaws frozen food gently. The display shows "d EF" and the timer can be set for up to 3 hours. Food should be placed on the wire rack (H) in slot 2 with the shallow pan (I) underneath.
- Rotisserie Function: This feature allows for cooking whole chickens, roasts, and turkeys up to 10 pounds. The spit (P) and forks (Q) are used to secure the food, which is then placed in the oven. The drip pan (I) should be placed on the lower guide (3) to collect drippings.
- Dehydrating Function: The dehydrating mode is used for drying fruits, vegetables, and herbs. The dehydrating shelves are placed on the wire rack, and the oven preheats to 100°F.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning: Always unplug the oven and allow it to cool before cleaning. The interior can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use metal scouring pads or abrasive cleaners. The glass door can be cleaned with a glass cleaner or a damp cloth. The crumb tray (G) should be pulled out from under the bottom of the oven and washed by hand.
- Oven Light: The oven light (B) is accessible by unscrewing the protective glass cover (X) and replacing the bulb (Y) with a new one of the same type (T572°F).
- Crumb Tray: The crumb tray (G) is essential for collecting crumbs and drippings, making cleaning easier and preventing buildup. It should be inserted as shown in the figures for perfect results.
- Safety Precautions: The manual emphasizes several safety precautions, including reading all instructions, avoiding contact with hot surfaces, ensuring proper grounding, supervising children, and not using the appliance outdoors. It also warns against placing heavy objects on the oven door and using the appliance for purposes other than intended.
- Warranty: The product comes with a limited warranty covering defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date of delivery. The warranty applies only if the appliance is used in accordance with the factory's written instructions.
