Why is my DeLonghi Coffee Maker not delivering espresso coffee anymore?

  If your DeLonghi Coffee Maker isn't delivering espresso coffee, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the water tank (A17) is filled. If the coffee or steam circuit light is flashing, press the corresponding button. Also, a blocked filter or missing perforated filter can cause this issue; clean the filters as described in section "11.4 Cleaning the cofefe fliters" and verify the perforated filter is correctly inserted. Incorrect tank insertion can also be the culprit; press the tank down lightly to open the valves at the bottom. Lastly, scale buildup in the water circuit may be the problem, so descale the appliance as described in section "12. Descaling".

  If espresso coffee drips from the edges of the filter holder on your DeLonghi Coffee Maker, it could be due to a few reasons. Ensure the filter holder is correctly attached and rotated firmly as far as it will go. Another cause may be that the espresso boiler gasket has lost elasticity or is dirty; in this case, have it replaced by Customer Services. Lastly, the filter might be blocked, or the perforated filter might be missing; clean the filters as described in section "11.4 Cleaning the cofefe filters".

  If the coffee filter is empty after grinding with your DeLonghi Coffee Maker, the coffee mill coffee guide may be clogged. Clean as described in section "11.10 Cleaning the "tamping station". If the problem persists, access the guide by opening the hatch and free it using the brush(fig. 50).
