Place the iron on the iron rest in the secured position and wait
for the system to cool down before putting it away.
To put the appliance away tidily, x the steam/cable tube to
the hook B and wind the power cable around the cable tidy
D. Store the iron in a dry place.
Please note:
• After ironing, the water remaining in the reservoir need
not be drained.
However, you are recommended to drain the water if the
appliance is left unused for long periods.
Disposal
The appliance must not be disposed of with hou-
sehold waste, but taken to an authorised waste sepa-
ration and recycling centre.

PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION
The appliance does not come on. The appliance is not plugged into a mains
socket.
Make sure the appliance is correctly connected
and press the iron and steam generator ON
buttons.
Steam leaks from the reservoir. The maximum pressure safety system has
tripped.
Turn the appliance o immediately and con-
tact the manufacturer’s customer services.
Water leaks from the holes in the bottom of
the soleplate.
Water has condensed inside the tubes because
steam is being used for the rst time, or has
not been used for some time.
Press the steam button several times away
from the ironing board. This will eliminate cold
water from the steam circuit.
The ironing system is positioned on an unsta-
ble and/or sloping surface.
The iron must be used and rested on a stable
surface.
Brown coloured uid leaks from the
soleplate.
Chemical water softeners or additives have
been poured into the water reservoir or steam
generator.
Never pour products into the water reservoir
(see our tips in the quick guide). Clean the
soleplate with a damp cloth.
The rst time the appliance is turned on, you
notice smoke
Some parts have been treated with sealer/
lubricant which evaporates the rst time the
iron heats up.
This is normal and will stop when you have
used the iron a few times.
The appliance emits an intermittent noise
associated with vibrations.
Water is being pumped into the steam gene-
rator.
This is completely normal.
The appliance emits a continuous noise
associated with vibrations.
Unplug the system from the mains and contact
the manufacturer’s customer services.
