  This issue may occur if the keyboard type selected does not match the one set up on your computer. Ensure you select the same keyboard type as configured in your computer's settings. Another possible cause is a mismatch in the Caps Lock state between the reader and the connected keyboard; ensure they match. Also, set the computer to 1-byte alphanumeric input mode. Using a device driver other than the system-supplied one or pressing the computer's keyboard during scanning can also cause this problem. Use the system-supplied driver and avoid pressing the keyboard while scanning.
