Required Maintenance (Fig. A)
Maintenance is required when the pipe pressing tool
reaches 45,000 cycles. Warning indicators will illuminate on
the diagnostic panel

as follows.
1. Maintenance warning at 44,500 cycles (Maintenance
LED lights yellow continuously)
2. Final maintenance warning at 44,900 cycles
(Maintenance LED flashes yellow continuously)
3. Needs service at 45,000 cycles (Maintenance LED lights
red for 10 seconds then turns tool off automatically).
At 45,000 cycles, the tool will no longer run. Take your
tool to a
DeWALT
factory service center for maintenance
andrecalibration.
Cleaning

WARNING: Blow dirt and dust out of all air vents with
clean, dry air at least once a week. To minimize the risk
of eye injury, always wear ANSI Z87.1 approved eye
protection when performingthis.

WARNING: Never use solvents or other harsh
chemicals for cleaning the non-metallic parts of
the tool. These chemicals may weaken the plastic
materials used in these parts. Use a cloth dampened
only with water and mild soap. Never let any liquid
get inside the tool; never immerse any part of the tool
into aliquid.
Regularly clean the press jaws to be sure they are free of dirt
and debris to ensure a proper press.
