  If fasteners are jamming in your DeWalt Staple Gun, it might be due to a worn driver channel, using the wrong size or bent fasteners, or loose magazine/nose screws. A broken or chipped driver can also cause this issue. Replace the nose and check the door, use only recommended fasteners, and discontinue using bent fasteners. Tighten all screws and replace the driver.

Why is my DeWalt DWSL18CAP lacking power and cycling slowly?

  The DeWalt Staple Gun may lack power or cycle slowly due to several reasons. A broken cylinder cap spring, cut or cracked rings/seals, a blocked exhaust, or a worn/leaky trigger assembly can be the cause. Also, dirt/tar buildup on the driver, a cylinder sleeve not seated correctly on the bottom bumper, low air pressure, or a clogged air filter could be the reason. Consider replacing the cap spring, rings/seals, or trigger assembly. Check the bumper and head valve spring for exhaust blockages. Disassemble the nose/driver to clean off dirt or tar and disassemble to correct the cylinder sleeve seating. Check the air supply equipment or clean/replace the air filter.

Additionally, a leaking head cap gasket, a cut/worn trigger valve O-ring, a broken/chipped driver, or a dry/dirty or worn magazine might be the problem. Consider replacing the bumper, quick disconnect fittings, ring, or spring.
