What to do if my DeWalt DXPW2000E motor will not start?

If your DeWalt Pressure Washer's motor won't start, first ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the ON position. Check that the main power supply is adequate. If you're using an extension cord, make sure it meets the minimum requirements. Also, the thermal overload may have tripped due to overheating; allow the unit to cool and then reset the thermal overload button on the pump motor. Finally, confirm the GFCI plug is reset and functioning properly.

Why does my DeWalt DXPW2000E hum but not turn on?

If your DeWalt Pressure Washer motor hums but doesn't turn on, ensure the water supply is at least 5 GPM @ 20 psi (138 kPa). Repair any leaks at the high-pressure hose fitting, applying sealant tape if needed. Clean any obstructions from the nozzle, remove and clean the water filter screen, and clean the chemical filter. Also, remove air from the hose by turning off the engine and water source, disconnecting the water source, and letting the water run until there's a steady stream, then reconnect and squeeze the trigger to remove remaining air. Finally, use a high-pressure hose under 100 feet (30.48 m) and lengthen the water supply hose instead of the high-pressure hose.
