Essential step before using the heater.
Disconnect power, install in suitable enclosure, keep free from contaminants.
Wiring must follow NEC and local codes; disconnect power before working.
Thermostat can be installed on either end cap, front or rear entry.
For rear entry, remove cable clamp. For front entry, remove front panel and cover.
For LC models, remove the end panel by unscrewing the securing screw.
Remove three small knockouts from the end cap using a punch or screwdriver.
Remove wire nuts and separate the two baseboard leads.
Connect thermostat and baseboard leads to power supply wires per diagrams.
For double pole, consult thermostat casing markings and wiring diagrams.
Attach the thermostat assembly to the end cap and fasten with screws.
Remove all knockouts or other construction materials.
Ensure all electrical connections are tight and place wiring inside the terminal box.
Replace terminal box cover and front panel or rear clamp, ensuring no wires are pinched.
Install the knob or plug button for tamper-proof versions.
Follow specific baseboard installation instructions to complete the process.
Set thermostat by trial for optimum room comfort; turn clockwise then counter-clockwise to find desired setting.
Disconnect power before cleaning; allow heater to cool before servicing.
User can perform cleaning only; other servicing must be done by qualified personnel.
