10) AUDIO (R-Red and L-White) – Audio cables offer better sound quality than RF coaxial
cables. You can connect a second set of audio cables to another component, such as a VCR or
stereo.
11) PHONE – Connects the DIRECTV Plus Receiver to a telephone wall jack. We require a land-
based telephone connection to communicate periodically with your DIRECTV Plus Receiver.
12) AC POWER INLET – Connects the DIRECTV Plus Receiver to an electrical outlet. We
recommend you use a surge protector to safeguard your DIRECTV Plus Receiver from power
spikes.
