Set Up
1. Ensure machine is shut off.
2. Ensure restraint bar is installed correctly:
• The word “DANGER” must be facing up,
as shown.
• Restraint bar must be in correct position.
See “Restraint Bar” on page 100.
3. If equipped, remove backfill blade. See
“Backfill Blade” on page 73.
4. Install correct counterweight configuration.
See “Counterweights” on page 74.
5. Start engine.
6. Drive to starting point. Move in line with
planned trench.
IMPORTANT: Trench cleaner shown
installed on restraint bar is optional.
