Overview

This manual describes the IntelliCare™ Manual and Hybrid dispensers, outlining the process for changing a bottle (refill). Both dispensers share a similar design and refill replacement procedure, with the primary difference being the dispenser type (Manual vs. Hybrid).

Function Description:

The IntelliCare™ dispensers are designed to dispense soap or other liquid products from a refill bottle. They provide a hygienic and controlled way to dispense product, suitable for various environments. The manual version likely requires a physical push or pull action to dispense, while the hybrid version may offer both manual and possibly an automated or assisted dispensing mechanism, though the refill process shown is identical for both.

Usage Features:

  1. Key Location (Step 1):

    • To access the dispenser's internal components, a cover key (a) is required.
    • The key is conveniently stored on the back of the housing. This ensures the key is readily available when needed for maintenance or refill, reducing the chance of misplacement.
    • Important Note: This step is specifically highlighted for "initial installation only," suggesting that once the dispenser is set up, the key might not be needed for every refill, or perhaps the cover remains unlocked after the first opening until intentionally secured.
  2. Opening Cover (Step 2):

    • Once the key (a) is retrieved, it is inserted into designated holes located on the top of the dispenser cover.
    • After inserting the key, the cover can be pulled forward to open the dispenser, revealing the refill compartment. This mechanism ensures secure closure and prevents unauthorized access or tampering.
  3. To Remove Refill (Step 3):

    • To remove an empty or used refill, users need to pull both the container (e) and the attached pump housing (f) simultaneously.
    • The design suggests a simple pull-out mechanism, making the removal process straightforward and quick.
    • Environmental Feature: The manual explicitly states, "Please recycle accordingly," promoting environmentally responsible disposal of empty containers.
  4. To Insert Refill (Step 4):

    • Inserting a new refill requires careful placement to ensure proper functionality.
    • The critical step is to push the refill into place, ensuring that the FLANGE of the soap nozzle (c) is correctly seated into its designated location (d).
    • Technical Specification/Warning: The manual emphasizes the importance of correct seating: "if not, the dispenser will not pump correctly." This highlights a key technical requirement for the dispenser's operation, ensuring a reliable dispensing action. The visual aid shows the label facing "out," which might be a visual cue for correct orientation.
  5. Closing Cover (Step 5):

    • After inserting the new refill, closing the dispenser is simple.
    • Users need to push the top of the cover closed until they hear an audible "CLICK" (b).
    • The "CLICK" provides clear feedback that the cover is securely latched, preventing accidental opening and maintaining hygiene.

Maintenance Features:

  • User Guide Availability: The manual directs users to "Check diversey.com/intellicare for dispenser user guide" and "for further information" (for the Hybrid version). This indicates comprehensive support and additional resources are available online for detailed usage and maintenance instructions.
  • SDS Information: Both manuals include a prompt to "Check SDS for detailed information," accompanied by an icon. This refers to Safety Data Sheets, which provide crucial health and safety information about the product being dispensed, an important aspect for user safety and compliance.

Important Technical Specifications (Inferred):

  • Refill Compatibility: The design implies that specific IntelliCare™ refill bottles are required, as the nozzle flange (c) and seating location (d) are critical for proper operation.
  • Dispensing Mechanism:
    • Manual Dispenser: Relies on a direct user interaction (e.g., push bar, lever) to activate the pump.
    • Hybrid Dispenser: Likely offers both manual operation and potentially an automatic or assisted dispensing mode (e.g., sensor-based, battery-powered assist), although the refill process itself remains manual.
  • Secure Closure: The key-operated cover and "CLICK" mechanism ensure the dispenser remains closed and protected from tampering or accidental opening.

In summary, the IntelliCare™ Manual and Hybrid dispensers are designed for ease of use in refilling, with clear instructions and visual cues to ensure correct installation and reliable operation. Key features include a secure, key-accessed cover, a straightforward pull-and-push refill mechanism, and an emphasis on correct nozzle seating for proper function. Online resources and SDS information are provided for comprehensive user support and safety.
