Lock Cylinders
When necessary, apply
a
thin film
of
Lubriplate
or
equivalent, directly
to key.
Insert
key
into lock
and
actuate several times. Wipe excess lubricant from
key. Particular attention should
be
given
to
external
lock cylinders during fall
and
winter months
to in-
sure protection from water
and ice.
Door Lock Ratchet and Striker
Bolt
Apply light engine
oil,
sparingly,
to
ratchet pivot
areas
(Fig.
10). Wipe
off
excess
oil.
Apply Door Ease
Lubricant
or
equivalent,
to
contact area
of
striker
bolt.

inspect operation

relubricate
these parts, remove door trim panel. Apply
