4.1Maintenance
Maintenanceshouldbedoneatleastonceayear.
Toensuregoodperformanceandsafetyyoushouldregularlycheck
thatthefollowingiscarriedout:
•Ensurethatscrewsandadjustmentsareproperlytightened.
•Neveruseadefectivewalkingaid.Donotattemptrepairs
yourself!
•Ifhandgripsareloosedonotusethewalkingaid.Changehand
gripsaccordingtotheserviceinstructionswhichcanbeobtained
fromyourInvacarerepresentative.
•Verifybrakeoperation.Ifbrakeadjustmentisrequired,see
chapter3Usage,page7
inthisusermanual.
•Periodicallyinspectthecastorstightness,wearanddamage.
•Makesurethatthewheelsarefreeofhair,lintandotherdebris.
4.2Cleaning
Theproductcanbecleanedanddisinfectedusingcommercially
availabledetergents.
IMPORTANT
–Cleaningmustbedoneatleastonceayear.
–Donotuseanabrasivedetergentcleaner.
–Donotuseasteamcleaner.
–Neveruseacids,alkaliesorsolvents.
•Theproductcanbewashedinawashingmachineorbyhand.
•Thewashinganddryingtemperaturemaynotbehigherthan
60ºC.
•High-pressurecleanerorordinaryjetofwatermaybeused.
However,donotaimthejettowardsbearings,drainingholesor
labels.
•Cleanwithdampclothandmilddetergents.
•Cleanthewheelswithabrush(nowirebrush!).
•Afterwashing,wipetheproductdry.
Disinfection
Disinfecttheproductbywipingdownallgenerallyaccessiblesurfaces
withdisinfectant.
