6.2 Choosing a cooking method
This microwave provides five cooking methods to choose from, which are explained in the sections that follow.
Microwave
Choose this method for standard microwave cooking. This option allows you to customize cooking power (refer
to the table that follows for more details) and time. See "Cooking: microwave" on page 15.
The longest cooking time that you can choose for this method is 99 minutes and 99 seconds.

This microwave is equipped with a Quick Start function. Press the Quick Start button in quick succession
to set the cooking time (up to 10 minutes). The unit will auto-start immediately at 100% power.
Grill
Choose this method for cooking thin slices of meat, steaks, chops, kebabs, sausages, and pieces of chicken. It is
also suitable for hot sandwiches and au gratin dishes. See "Cooking: grill" on page 15.
The longest cooking time that you can choose for this method is 99 minutes and 99 seconds.
Convection
During convection cooking, hot air is circulated throughout the oven cavity to crisp foods quickly and evenly. This
microwave is programmed for ten different cooking temperatures. See "Cooking: convection" on page 15.
You can preheat the microwave using this method, and you can press the Convection button during cooking to
check the cooking temperature.
The longest cooking time that you can choose for this method is 9 hours and 99 minutes.
Microwave + grill
This method combines grill and microwave cooking. See "Cooking: microwave + grill" on page 16.
The microwave has two pre-programmed settings for this cooking method:
Combination 1 is used for fish, potatoes, or au gratin, where 30% of the cooking time is microwave and 70%
is grill cooking.
Combination 2 is used for pudding, omelets, baked potatoes, and poultry, where 55% of the cooking time is
microwave and 45% is grill cooking.
The longest cooking time that you can choose for this method is 99 minutes and 99 seconds.
Microwave + convection
This microwave has four pre-programmed settings (refer to the following table for details) to easily cook with both
convection and microwave heat automatically. See "Cooking: microwave + convection" on page 16.
