The Dometic OVN0250 and OVG0250 are gas-operated ovens with an integrated grill function, crafted from stainless steel. These appliances are designed for installation in caravans and motorhomes, exclusively for cooking, baking, and grilling food. They are not intended for room heating.

Function Description:

The ovens allow for cooking and baking at temperatures ranging from 130 °C to 230 °C. The grill function can be activated to evenly warm food. It's important to note that the grill and oven functions cannot be used simultaneously. Gas ignition is electronic.

Usage Features:

The oven's control elements include an electronic ignition and control knob for the oven, an oven mode selector (settings 1-6), a zero position (gas switched off), and for the OVG0250 model, a grill mode selector.

Before Initial Use: Clean the oven rack and drip pan with a standard cleaning agent. Operate the oven empty for 30 minutes at the highest temperature. If applicable, run the grill empty for 15-20 minutes at the highest temperature. After this, switch off the oven and let it remain off for at least one minute before re-igniting.
Inserting the Oven Rack: The oven shelf is inserted as shown in the manual's illustrations.
Switching on the Oven:
1. Open the oven door completely.
2. Ensure the gas supply is turned on.
3. Press and hold the temperature regulator.
4. While pressed, turn the temperature regulator to a position on the temperature scale.
5. Hold the regulator down for another 5-10 seconds for electronic ignition.
6. Turn the temperature regulator to the desired position (130 °C to 230 °C, corresponding to settings 1-6).
7. Close the oven door.
- Note: The actual temperature may deviate by up to ±20 °C. Immediately after ignition, the flame operates at maximum output, then automatically reduces to minimum output once the set temperature is reached. If the oven hasn't cooled from previous use, the burner might go out after lighting; blowing into the burner opening can help clear steam.
Switching on the Grill (OVG0250 only):
1. Open the oven door completely.
2. Ensure the gas supply is turned on.
3. Press and hold the temperature regulator.
4. While pressed, turn the temperature regulator to the grill position.
5. Hold the regulator down for another 5-10 seconds for electronic ignition.
6. Close the oven door.
- Warning: Never use the grill without food underneath. Do not use the grill for longer than 15 minutes, and it should not be used as an oven. The burner must only be ignited with the oven door fully open. Ignite the burner immediately after turning on the gas supply to prevent gas accumulation and potential explosion.
Visual Inspection of the Flame:
- Propane (G31): Blue inner flame with a clear contour.
- Butane (G30): Slightly yellow tips when the burner is switched on, becoming more intense as the burner heats up.
Switching off the Oven or Grill: Turn the temperature regulator to the zero position. The flame on the burner will go out. Close the main shut-off valve on the gas supply.
Replacing a Gas Cylinder: Always ensure good ventilation and no ignition sources nearby. Only change the cylinder when the device is switched off. Use approved propane or butane gas bottles with a certified pressure reduction valve and suitable headpiece. Compare pressure information on the type plate with the pressure regulator.

Maintenance Features:

Cleaning the Device: Clean the oven regularly with a damp cloth when it gets dirty. Allow the device to cool down before cleaning. Remove oily and greasy residues. Wash stainless steel or enamel surfaces with soap and water or a neutral detergent, rinse with clean water, and dry the surface.
- Caution: Hot surfaces can be damaged by cold water or a damp cloth. Avoid acidic or alkaline substances, abrasive/corrosive/chlorine-based products, scourers, steel wool, rough abrasive materials, or sharp metal scrapers on glass oven doors. Never use sharp cleaning agents or tools. Do not use steam cleaners.
- Warning: Always disconnect the device from the energy supply and close the main shut-off valve of the gas supply before cleaning.
Troubleshooting: In case of a fault, immediately shut off the gas supply. Check for damage and have damaged parts replaced by a qualified specialist. Only use the device again once all faults have been rectified. Repairs to gas-conveying parts must only be carried out by qualified specialists.
Annual Check: The gas system and connected flues must be inspected annually by an authorized professional to ensure compliance with national safety requirements. Keep records of all maintenance performed.
- Specific functions to check include: absence of gas leaks, burning safety and flame stability, fresh air supply, and safety/regulating devices (burner taps).
- Check the installation location for compliance with local regulations.
- Inspect and clean, if necessary, gas outlets on the burner, burner heads, and the thermal element.
- Verify the correct distance (approx. 1-3 mm) between the burner head and the thermal element.
Replacing the Injector: This task must only be performed by a qualified person. Block the injector holder with a tool when removing and mounting injectors.
