Maintenance
Maintenance instructions
6.0
6.1
Avoid use of caustic household cleaners to clean the fabric.
Do not use hard bristle brushes and/or mildew removers.
Lubricate the rafter arms and support arms using paraffin wax or silicon spray.
To avoid mildew formation, periodically clean the awning fabric with soap agents.
Rinse well with warm water.
Mix ratio:
60 ml dish soap and 60 ml bleaching agent mixed with 20 litres of warm water.
Allow to dry before rolling awning back up.
Remedy small pinholes with VLP (Vinyl Liquid Patch). Apply a very small dab of VLP
on the tip of a wooden stick. By gently rolling the wooden stick around the pinhole,
the VLP will melt the paint (in the stripe) and that will quickly fill in the pinhole with a
perfect match. Please order VLP (Vinyl Liquid Patch) at Dometic: (Dometic part no.
143498).
Be sure to wait until the VLP sets before rolling up the awning.
Lower one end of awning for proper water run-off and to avoid water pooling.
