Maintenance
Maintenance instructions
6.0
6.1
• Avoid use of caustic household cleaners to clean the fabric.
• Do not use hard bristle brushes and/or mildew removers.
• Lubricate the rafter arms and support arms using paraffin wax or silicon spray.
• To avoid mildew formation, periodically clean the awning fabric with soap agents.
Rinse well with warm water.
Mix ratio:
60 ml dish soap and 60 ml bleaching agent mixed with 20 litres of warm water.
• Allow to dry before rolling awning back up.
• Remedy small pinholes with VLP (Vinyl Liquid Patch). Apply a very small dab of VLP
on the tip of a wooden stick. By gently rolling the wooden stick around the pinhole,
the VLP will melt the paint (in the stripe) and that will quickly fill in the pinhole with a
perfect match. Please order VLP (Vinyl Liquid Patch) at Dometic: (Dometic part no.
143498).
• Be sure to wait until the VLP sets before rolling up the awning.
• Lower one end of awning for proper water run-off and to avoid water pooling.
