MAINTENANCE & SERVICE
Carefully reinstall the burner. Make sure that the end of the
burner fi ts into the slot on the burner bracket. Verify that
the slots are centered under the fl ue tube and the thermo-
couple is positioned properly (tip of thermocouple extends
over two slots of burner).
Be sure to reconnect the wire to the high voltage electrode.
Check the electrode for proper location and gap.
Turn on the manual gas shutoff valve. Using a solution of
liquid detergent and water, examine the gas supply line and
all the gas connections for leaks.
Connect the 120 V power cord to the outlet. Reconnect or
turn on the 12 V DC power.
Check the LP gas safety shutoff.

Unplug the refrigerator power cord from the 120 V
AC outlet.
Disconnect or shut off the 12V DC power to the
refrigerator.
Turn off the manual shutoff valve.
Remove the cover from the burner housing.
Disconnect the wire form the high voltage electrode.
Remove the burner mounting screws and then, re-
move the burner assembly.
Remove fl ue cap from the top of the fl ue tube. Lift
out the wire and spiral baffl e. Using a fl ue brush,
clean the fl ue from the top. (Blowing compressed air
into the fl ue will
not
properly clean soot and scale
not properly clean soot and scale not
out of the fl ue tube.)
Replace the fl ue baffl e.
Clean the burner tube with a brush. Blow out the
burner with compressed air.
Before removing the burner jet:
Clean burner area of soot and scale that fell out of
ue tube.
Remove the burner jet.
Soak the jet in wood alcohol and blow it out with
compressed air.
Reinstall and tighten the burner jet.
Do not use a wire or pin when cleaning the burner
jet as damage can occur to the precision opening.
This could be extremely hazardous!

be clear blue over the slots of

CLEANING THE FLUE BAFFLE AND BURNER
Inspect the fl ue baffl e. It should be reasonably clean and free of soot. Heavy soot formation indicates improper functioning
of the burner. The fl ue and burner require cleaning in the following manner:
