10.2 Preparing maintenance work
!
➤ Switch the generator to no function with the main switch (fig. 5 1, page 5).
➤ Disconnect the positive terminal of the supply battery.
➤ Open the generator front door.
For maintenance work, you can take the generator out (fig. 6, page 5):

Interval Inspection/maintenance
Each use ➤ Check the integrity of the chassis.
➤ Check the oil level.
➤ Check the air cleaner.
➤ Check leakage of fuel or oil.
In the first month
or after 20 hours
➤ Change the oil.
➤ Check the air filter (chapter “Servicing the air filter (fig. 8, page 6)”
on page 27).
Every 3 months or
after 50 hours
➤ Check the air filter (chapter “Servicing the air filter (fig. 8, page 6)”
on page 27).
Every 6 months or
after 100 hours
➤ Change the oil.
➤ Check the spark plug (chapter “Servicing the spark plugs” on
page 28).
Once a year or
every 300 hours
➤ Check the valves‘ adjustment.
➤ Check the fuel tank.
➤ Replace the fuel filter.
➤ Replace the spark plug.
➤ Check the vibration damper.
Every two years ➤ Check the petrol supply lines.
CAUTION!
Note the following for all maintenance work:
• The generator must not be running.
• All the parts must be cooled down.
WARNING!
The mounting plate with generator is very heavy (> 40 kg) and could fall
out the housing if you take it out too far.
