10.2 Preparing maintenance work
!
Switch the generator to no function with the main switch (fig. 5 1, page 5).
Disconnect the positive terminal of the supply battery.
Open the generator front door.
For maintenance work, you can take the generator out (fig. 6, page 5):

Interval Inspection/maintenance
Each use Check the integrity of the chassis.
Check the oil level.
Check the air cleaner.
Check leakage of fuel or oil.
In the first month
or after 20 hours
Change the oil.
Check the air filter (chapter “Servicing the air filter (fig. 8, page 6)”
on page 27).
Every 3 months or
after 50 hours
Check the air filter (chapter “Servicing the air filter (fig. 8, page 6)”
on page 27).
Every 6 months or
after 100 hours
Change the oil.
Check the spark plug (chapter “Servicing the spark plugs” on
page 28).
Once a year or
every 300 hours
Check the valves‘ adjustment.
Check the fuel tank.
Replace the fuel filter.
Replace the spark plug.
Check the vibration damper.
Every two years Check the petrol supply lines.
CAUTION!
Note the following for all maintenance work:
The generator must not be running.
All the parts must be cooled down.
WARNING!
The mounting plate with generator is very heavy (> 40 kg) and could fall
out the housing if you take it out too far.
