Do you have a question about the DoorHan SLIDING-300 and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The DoorHan SLIDING-300/800 is an automatic drive system designed for sliding doors without a gate. It features a mechanical gearbox in an oil bath and an integrated electric motor with a control unit, all housed in a single package. The drive converts the rotary movement of its output sprocket into the linear motion of the door via a gear rack fixed to the door. An external control button can be connected to the control unit for operation. The self-locking gearbox provides a mechanical block for the door when the motor is not operating, ensuring security. In the event of a power outage, an emergency manual release mechanism allows for manual opening and closing of the door.

Function Description:

The SLIDING-300/800 drive offers automatic control of sliding doors. It incorporates an automatic stop system that quickly and reliably halts the motor at extreme positions, activated by contactless electronic limit switches. In case of a power blackout, a lever rotation releases the drive, enabling manual door operation. The drive can be controlled in a step-by-step mode (open-stop-close-stop) using either a fixed button or a remote controller. The control unit is integrated within the drive housing with the gear motor, contributing to a low noise level and overheating protection. The system is specifically designed for operating sliding doors and should not be used for other purposes.

Usage Features:

  • Safety Precautions: Installation must adhere to EN 12453 and EN 12445 standards. Improper installation can lead to severe injury. The drive is intended only for automatic control of sliding doors; misuse is forbidden. Prior to installation, ensure the door operates smoothly and the installation site complies with climatic conditions. Do not install in hazardous environments. Use specified tools and protective gear during installation. Disconnect power supply during installation, cleaning, or maintenance. An additional safety device is required to prevent drive activation with an open gate. Use only DoorHan original accessories. Do not leave motors in a released position to prevent uncontrolled door movement. A mechanical stop is required to limit the door leaf stroke for safe operation.
  • Installation: The drive should be mounted on a base, ensuring a safe distance between the drive gear and the door. Protective cable tubes or channels should be installed. The gear racks are attached horizontally to the door, maintaining a 2 mm gap between the gear rack and the drive gear. Limit switches are installed to define open and closed positions.
  • Gear Rack Installation (DoorHan door): C-profile (1) is installed on leaf mounting brackets (2) with self-tapping screws. A round head bolt (3) and cover plate (4) are inserted into the C-profile. A clamp (5) is applied over the C-profile, and a collar (6) is screwed onto the bolt, pressing the clamp to the C-profile. This process is repeated for all mounting assemblies. Gear racks (7) are then secured to the mounting assemblies with bolts (8). Teeth of all section elements are aligned using a free rack, and mounting assemblies are tightened.
  • Gear Rack Installation (Third-party door): The door leaf is moved to an extreme position. The first rack part is placed on the gear, and a collar is installed between the rack and the door, aligning with the upper slot. Drilling points are marked, and holes are drilled (6.5 mm) and threaded (M8). The bolt is tightened. This process is repeated for subsequent rack elements, ensuring teeth alignment. Never weld racks to collars or to each other. Ensure the door can reach mechanical stops without friction. Do not lubricate racks or gears.
  • Limit Switches Placement: The drive uses magnetic reed switches that respond to magnets on the rack to stop the door. To install, release the drive, move the door manually to the open position (2-5 cm from mechanical stop). Slide the "open" magnet (triangular blue sticker) along the rack until the corresponding LED on the control board turns off, then slide it 2-3 cm further and secure it. Repeat for the "close" magnet (round red sticker) at the closed position. Lock the drive and ensure a 2 cm gap from the door to mechanical stops. Run several cycles to verify limit switch operation; the corresponding LED should go out when the switch activates. The distance from the limit switch to the magnet should not exceed 5 mm.
  • Release Mechanism Operation: To manually open/close the door when power is off or the drive fails, insert the key into the lock, turn it clockwise, pull the lever, turn the key counterclockwise, and remove the key. To return to normal operation, insert the key, turn it counterclockwise, push the lever against the stop, turn the key clockwise, and remove the key. Move the door manually until the drive is locked.

Maintenance Features:

The Sliding-300/800 automatic system does not require special maintenance, but regular checks are recommended.

  • Only qualified specialists from a DoorHan authorized center should perform repair and maintenance.
  • The installer must provide the user with instructions on how to unlock the door in emergencies and information on system maintenance and operation.
  • Use DoorHan original spare parts during maintenance.
  • Check the DoorHan automatic system for problems at least once every 6 months.
  • Regularly check the smooth movement of the door under automatic control.
  • Regularly check the correct installation of extreme positions and the operation of safety devices.
  • If power is off, the door stops. After power is restored, the drive can be controlled in normal mode.
  • Deliver the product to a special recycling center at the end of its service life.
  • The manufacturer (DoorHan) is not responsible for the safety of the door and automatic equipment installation, operation, and maintenance, as they do not directly control these processes.

Troubleshooting:
