Tap in the command bar to open a panel which contains several short-
cuts to ease your phone use. Tap the arrow keys to toggle the shortcut
pages.
Volume keys
• During a call the volume keys adjusts the call volume.
• From standby the volume keys adjust the media volume.
Tap the settings icon on the bottom for more sound and volume
options.
• To adjust the volume level for music and videos when in an applica-
tion that plays music or other audio (like games or video players).
• To zoom in Camera mode. See Camera, p.61 for alternative settings
for the volume keys.
Gestures
These settings can be found via Set Advanced settings Sys-
tem Gestures.
System navigation
You can select to hide the navigation button bar and instead use swipe ges-
tures to control your device navigation.
With Gesture navigation activated:
• To go Home (same as ), swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
• To switch apps (same as ), swipe up from the bottom, hold, then
release.
• To go back (same as ), swipe from either the left or right edge.
Lift to check phone
Activate this to turn on the screen when you pick it up.
Prevent ringing
Select what the phone will do when it rings and you press shortcut to pre-
vent ringing, Power & Volume Up together.
• Vibrate, to silence the ringing and just vibrate.
• Mute, to silence the ringing completely.
Power menu
Press and hold the Power button to access controls for connected devices.
