Hazardous Areas classified by Zones
The device is intended to be used in hazardous areas or mines
susceptible to firedamp classified zone 1 or zone 2, within a
temperature range of –20

C ... +50
o
C, where gases of explo-
sion groups IIA, IIB or IIC and temperature class T3 or T4
(depending on batteries) may be present.
If used in mines, the device is only to be used in areas known
to have a low risk of mechanical impact.
3 Instructions for Safety
Use only approved batteries. See marking on instrument pack
for approved batteries an related Temperature Code.
