Preset controls and tune for desired band for CW and RTTY operation. Tune for a dip in plate current and minimum reflected power.
For CW and RTTY operation the plate voltage switch should be in CW-TUNE position.
For SSB operation the plate voltage switch should be in SSB position and the red light that indicates high plate voltage should be on.
For AM operation the plate voltage switch should be in SSB position and the red light that indicates high plate voltage should be on.
If the final amplifier tubes are replaced with a brand other than originally supplied, the input coils may have to be retuned.
