How to troubleshoot a Draper OIL FREE COMPRESSOR Air Compressor that will not run?
    • M
      Michael WilliamsJul 28, 2025
If your Draper Air Compressor won't run, first ensure it's plugged in and receiving electrical power. Check the fuse or breaker, and see if the motor is overloaded. Replace any blown fuses. Reset any open breakers, and determine the cause of the problem. If the thermal overload is open, the motor will restart when cool. A bad pressure switch will also prevent the compressor from running, so consider replacing it.

What to do if the Draper OIL FREE COMPRESSOR keeps blowing fuses or tripping the circuit breaker?
    • C
      Charles OrtegaAug 7, 2025
If the fuses blow or the circuit breaker trips repeatedly on your Draper Air Compressor, it could be due to an incorrect size fuse or an overloaded circuit. Check for the proper fuse and use a time-delay fuse. Try disconnecting other electrical appliances from the circuit or operate the compressor on its own branch circuit. Also, a defective check valve or unloader can cause this issue, so consider replacing or repairing them. Remember to bleed the tank before disassembling the check valve.

Why is my Draper OIL FREE COMPRESSOR motor running, but the compressor cannot run or runs slowly?
    • J
      Joel YoderAug 18, 2025
If the motor of your Draper Air Compressor is operating but runs slowly or cannot run, the possible causes include a defective check valve or unloader (replace or repair it), poor contacts or low line voltage (check connections, eliminate extension cords, and check the circuit with a voltmeter), or a shorted or open motor winding (replace the motor). Remember to bleed the tank before disassembling the check valve.
