Do you have a question about the Drija Slim Touch 60 and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

This document describes the DRIJA Slim Touch range hood, an extractor designed for domestic kitchen use. It is available in Steel/Black and comes in three sizes: 60cm, 76cm, and 90cm. The range hood is designed to eliminate cooking fumes and odors, and it can be installed in either a ducted or recirculation configuration.

Function Description:

The DRIJA Slim Touch range hood functions by extracting cooking fumes and odors from the kitchen. In the ducted version, these fumes pass through grease filters and are expelled to the exterior via an outlet pipe. This configuration does not require carbon filters. In the recirculation version, fumes pass through both grease filters and carbon filters, and the cleaned air is returned to the kitchen. This model features a touch control panel for operation, allowing users to adjust fan speeds and lighting.

Important Technical Specifications:

The range hood operates at 110V/60Hz. Common specifications across all models (60cm, 76cm, 90cm):

  • Rated Voltage: 110V
  • Rated Power: 60Hz
  • Light Power: 2W*2 (two 2W LED lamps)
  • Motor Power: 120W
  • Total Power: 124W
  • Motor Type: Single
  • Diameter of Outlet Adapter: 120mm

Usage Features:

  • Installation: The range hood can be installed as either a ducted or recirculation system. For ducted installation, it is recommended to use a straight and short duct run for optimal efficiency. Long ducts, elbows, and transitions can reduce performance. The air must not be discharged into a chimney used for other combustion appliances. For recirculation, both grease and charcoal filters are used, and the cleaned air is returned to the room.
  • Electrical Connection: Electrical wiring should be done by a qualified person. The appliance must be connected to a dedicated power outlet, and a surge protector is recommended to maintain warranty.
  • Operation: The range hood is operated via a touch control panel. It features three fan speeds and a light switch.
    • Standby Mode: After connecting the power cable, the button indicator light turns on. The LCD screen displays the time (12:00) when in standby mode.
    • Speed Setting: Pressing the "+" key once activates the lowest speed. Subsequent presses increase the speed to medium and then high. The LCD displays two bars for low, two more for medium, and the bars fill completely for high speed.
    • Timer Delay: The timer can be set from 1 minute to 60 minutes. To activate, press the timer delay button. Each press of the "+" key increases the delay by one minute, up to 60 minutes. Pressing the "-" key decreases the delay.
    • Clock Setting: To set the clock, press and hold the timer delay button for 3 seconds. The HOUR will flash. Use the "+" and "-" keys to adjust the hour. Press the timer delay button again, and the MINUTE will flash. Adjust the minute using the "+" and "-" keys. Press the timer delay button a third time to confirm.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Do not check the status of the filters while the range hood is operating.
    • Do not touch the light bulbs after appliance use.
    • Do not disconnect the appliance with wet hands.
    • Avoid open flames, as it damages the filters and poses a fire hazard.
    • Constantly check for overheating oil during frying, which can cause a fire.
    • Disconnect the electrical plug prior to any maintenance.
    • Children should not operate the appliance without adult supervision.
    • Do not use this product outdoors.
    • The appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities unless supervised.
    • Ensure adequate ventilation in the room when the range hood is used simultaneously with gas or other fuel-burning appliances.
    • Cleaning is not carried out in accordance with instructions, which poses a fire risk.
    • The minimum distance between the range hood and a gas hob is 650mm, and for an electric hob, it is 650mm.

Maintenance Features:

  • Grease Filters: The aluminum grease filters should be cleaned frequently (every two months for normal use, or more frequently for intensive use). To remove, press the metal latch tab, tilt the filter downwards, and pull it out. Clean with warm water and a mild detergent solution. Grease filters are washable.
  • Charcoal Filters (Recirculation Version): Charcoal filters are not washable and cannot be regenerated. They should be replaced approximately every 3 months of operation, or more frequently with heavy usage. To install, turn the charcoal filter clockwise until it clicks into place. To remove, turn counter-clockwise.
  • Lamps: The range hood uses two LED lamps (DC 12V, 2W Max). To change lamps, push the LED lights from inside to outside. Disconnect the wire terminal and replace with LED lights of the same type. Ensure the surface and light cover are not hot when replacing.
  • Hood Cleaning: The stainless steel parts should be cleaned regularly to preserve their appearance. Use hot water with soap or detergent. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft, clean cloth to avoid water marks. For persistent stains or deposits, use a non-scratching household cleaner or stainless-steel polishing powder with water and a soft cloth. For stubborn cases, use a plastic scouring pad or soft bristle brush. Avoid using ordinary steel wool or steel brushes, as small bits of steel can adhere to the surface and cause rust. Do not allow saline solutions, disinfectants, bleaches, or cleaning compounds to remain in contact with stainless steel for prolonged periods. Painted surfaces should be cleaned with warm water and mild detergent only.

Troubleshooting:

The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues such as the lamp not working, strong vibrations/noise, or poor exhaust performance. Solutions include checking power connections, replacing damaged components (fuses, switches, lamps, ducts), ensuring proper installation, cleaning/replacing filters, and ensuring adequate ventilation. If issues persist, contact customer service with the appliance model and serial number.
