FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
You can solve many common ”problems” with your Refrigerator/Freezer by referencing our
“Frequently asked Question” guide below.
Please try these suggestions prior to calling a qualified service technician to service your
unit.
UNIT DOES NOT OPERATE
• Check to be sure the unit is plugged in
• The circuit breaker may have tripped or there is a blown fuse
• The Refrigerator/Freezer temperature control is set to “0”
COMPRESSOR TURNS ON / OFF FREQUENTLY
• Check to see if the room temperature is hotter than normal
• A large amount of food has been added to the Refrigerator or Freezer
exceeding the recommend load capacity
• The doors are opened too often or left open for too long
• The unit’s temperature control is NOT set correctly
• The door gaskets do not seal properly
• The Refrigerator/Freezer does NOT have the correct clearance(s)
VIBRATION(S)
• Check to make sure the unit is level
THE UNIT SEEMS TO MAKE TOO MUCH NOISE
• Some rattling noise may come from the flow of the refrigerant which is normal
• As each cycle ends you may hear some “gurgling” sounds coming from the flow
of refrigerant– this is normal
• Contraction and expansion of the inside walls may cause “popping” and/or
“crackling” noises – this is normal
• Check to make sure the unit is sitting level
THE DOORS WILL NOT CLOSE PROPERLY
• Make sure the doors are properly installed and not reversed
• Check to make sure the unit is sitting level
• The door gasket may be dirty
• The crisper bin is not in it’s proper position
