Auspacken und Aufstellen
Bitte beachten Sie auch dia Hinweise dar Packs
Ieitung und, wenn thr Oust 1249 Teil siner HiFi
Komplettaniage ist, auch die entsprechenden Emp
fehlurgen des Heestettors.
Stellen Sie bitte nach Ofinen des Kartons den
Styroporeinsatz mit dem kompletten Zu
behOr zunachst zur Seite, Nehmen Sie die
Konsole mit eingesetztem Plattenspieler aus
cem Karton und stellen Sie das Gerat an den
hiertur vorgesehenen Platz. Hinweiszettel am
Gerit bitte erst lesen und danach mit den
Verpackungsfalien entternen,
um |.Osen der Transgorisicharungsschrauben
drehen Sie diese im Uhrzeigersinn, bis sie ea,
15 mm tiefer rutschen und ziehen Sie diese ~
durch Welterdrehen ir Unrzeigersinn — fest
Damnit ist der Plattenspieler fir die Spielstel
lung tedernd gelagert.
Wenn Sie das Gerdt als Einbau-Chassis ge-
kauft haben sollten, nehmen Sie b tte das
\setzen in die Konsole oder den vorberei-
teten Montagebrettausschnitt wie folgt vor
Fihren Sie bitte zuerst Netz- und Tonab-
nahmerkabel durch die Bodendfinung der
Konsole. Driicken Sie die linke hintere Trans
portsicherungsschraube zum Chassisrend und
setzen Sie den Plattenspieler mit der Kinteren
Kante zuerst in die Konsole so ein, dag die
beiden hinteren Federtdpte in Ihren Bohrun
gen sitzen,
Verfahren Sie jetzt mit den beiden anderen
Transportsicherungsschrauben in gleicher
Weise und bringen Sie die vorne lirks und
fechts am Plattenspieler angeordneter Feder
topfe in die Behrungen der Konsole. Dann
ziehen Sie die Transpor tsicherungsschrauben
im Ubreeigersinn fest und haben damit das
stellung federnd gelagert
Nun setzen Sie den Plattenteller unmittelbar
au? don Antriebstoller, Die Schutzfolie 138
Sich von der chromfarbenen Plat
scheibe abgiehen,
Nehmen Sie bitte dasTonarm-Balane
aus dem Styroporeinsatz und stecken Sie den
Corn des Balancegewich tes, nach Losen der
ststellschraube, in die dafir vorgeschana
Offrung am hinteren Ende des Tonarrnes,
Die dreikenttarmige Aussnaruna am Dorn
mul dabei nach unten zeigen (Fig. 3),

and if your 1249's part of @ compact unit or a
console follow the isstructions of the latter's
manufacturer
Take out the siyrofoam-protected platter
assembly and put it aside fer the time being
Remove the base with the turntable and place
it where it will be used, Read carefully the
special instruction sheet attached to the
Turntable before removing it and the packing
material fram the turntable
Loosen the transit salery serews by turning
tham clockwise until thoy slide downward
(about 15 min}, reieaung the chassis from the
base: then continue fuming them clockwise
0 tighten the screws onto the top of the
chassis
The turntable is ‘spin. supported poe
sition required for play position
If your turntable is not in a base but inten:
ded to be installed 4 corsole oF a cutout
mounting, install it as follow
First feed the power cor! and audio cable
through the top of tho base, and. out
through the openin he bottom of the
tase, Then press the ir! rear transport safety
screw to the side, a {the player chases
in the base, rear eclw first, so that both rear
spring cups fit inte Ihe appropriate holes in
the base,
Move the other «ws
ingport safety screws
inward in a simifit fashion, locating left
and right fron> spring cups in their holes
Then turn the (1niport safety screws clocs
wise to the righ! The chassis is now spring
mounted
Next place plarter cirectly on the flywheel
The protective ower can be polled off th

Take the tora counterbalance out of Its
styrofoam inser. Locsen the setscraw at
the rear of the tonearm, and insert the
shaft of the counterbalance in the openi
provided for this purpose. The <riangular
Shaped rotch of the shaft must point i
downward direction (Fig. 3).
