Ifmountingisdesired,mountingbothspeakersona
commonsolidsurfacefacingthelisteningareawillprovide
thebestaudioresults.DoNOTmountspeakersonwall
surfacesthathavehazardsconcealedbehindthem,such
aselectricalwiresorplumbing.Alwaysmountspeakeron
surfacesthataresturdyenoughtosupportthespeakers’
weight,andmakesuretheycannotfallorcauseinjury.
Yourspeakerscanbeplacedinmanyconvenientlocations
inyourhomeorpatioarea-asstereopairsoneither
sideofyourreceiver-assurroundspeakersinhome
theatersurroundsoundsystems-inyourcomputerroom
toenhancethemultimediaexperience-orasremote
speakers.
Forwallandceilingapplications,mountingbracketsare
included.Inaddition,theLU47seriesspeakershavea
rear inset keyhole for surface hanging, and the larger LU47
has two 1/4-20 brass inserts incorporated into the rear of
the enclosure if aftermarket mounting systems will be
used.
Youshouldexperimentwithvariousplacements.Room
acousticscanproducelargeapparentdifferencesinthe
soundwhensmallchangesintheplacementareemployed.
Forexample,althoughthespeakermaybelocatedatany
heightabovethefloor,directingthetweetertowardear
level(32"–36")oranglingtheentirespeakertowardthe
listeningpositionoftenprovidesthemostrealisticimaging
experience.Theamountofbassperceivedincreasesasyou
moveaspeakerclosertosolidintersectingroomsurfaces
(walls,ceiling,floor).
