Why does the flame go out when I release the control knob on my Duluth Forge FDSR25?
    • L
      Leroy DukeAug 22, 2025
If the ODS/pilot lights but the flame goes out when you release the control knob on your Duluth Forge Stove, make sure the control knob is fully pressed in and held for at least 30 seconds after the pilot lights. Also, ensure the equipment shutoff valve is fully open and that the thermocouple connection is snug at the control valve (hand tighten, then 1/4 turn more). If the pilot flame is not touching the thermocouple, you should contact your local gas company or clean/replace the ODS/pilot assembly. A damaged thermocouple or control valve should be replaced.

Why does my Duluth Forge FDSR25 heater shut off while in use?
    • K
      kelsey90Aug 25, 2025
If your Duluth Forge Stove heater shuts off during use (ODS operates), it may not be getting enough fresh air, or there may be low line pressure, or the ODS/pilot may be partially clogged. Try opening a window or door for ventilation. If that doesn't work, contact your local gas supplier. You can also try cleaning the ODS/pilot.

What to do if there is no spark at ODS/pilot when ignitor button is pressed in Duluth Forge FDSR25 Stove?
    • K
      knavarroAug 28, 2025
If the ignitor button is pressed in but there is no spark at the ODS/pilot on your Duluth Forge Stove, the ignitor electrode may be positioned wrong or broken, or it may not be connected to the ignitor cable. The ignitor cable may also be pinched, wet, or broken, or the piezo ignitor may be bad, or the battery may be low. Replace the electrode or ignitor cable if necessary. Free the ignitor cable if it is pinched and keep it dry. Replace the piezo ignitor or the battery if needed.

      Robert StricklandSep 6, 2025

Air in the gas line or blocked air passageways on the heater could also be the cause. Additionally, a dirty or partially clogged burner orifice may be the reason.
