Fahrenheit/Celsius Selector
Press the “°C / °F” button to switch between
Fahrenheit and Celsius. Note: the initial setting
is in Celsius.
Timer Setting Control
1. Pressing the “TIMER” button during unit operation
sets the timer to turn the unit off.
2. Press “TIMER” button during unit standby to set
timer to turn the unit on.
3. After the timer has been set to turn the unit on or
off, press “ON/OFF” to cancel the timer setting.
Timer Cancel Control
To cancel the timer when it is being programmed,
press the “CANCEL” button.
CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE
The function of continuous drainage can be started in
following steps when there is a good condition of
drainage near by the unit.
1. Prepare PVC hose to drain out water.
2. Take out stopper from the drainage outlet on the
back of the unit (Fig. 8).
3. Remove the flat pad inside the stopper (Fig. 9).
4. Make the drainage pipe go through the ring of the
stopper (Fig. 10).
5. Screw the stopper back to the drainage outlet.
TROUBLESHOOTING
The following cases may not always be a malfunction,
please check it before asking for service.
My air conditioner does not run.
• Check to see if the protector trip or a fuse is blown
• Please wait for 3 minutes and start again.
• The batteries in the remote might need replacing.
• Check to see if the plug is properly plugged in.
My air conditioner runs for only a short time.
• The temperature might be set close to the existing
room temperature.
• An air outlet might be blocked.
My air conditioner runs, but is not cooling.
• A door or window may be open.
• There may be a heater or lamp in operation
• An air outlet or intake may be blocked.
• The set temperature may be set too high.
My air conditioner will not run, and the WATER
FULL indicator light is on.
• Drain the water into a prepared container by the
drainage pipe on the rear panel of the unit.
• If this does not work, please consult a qualified
technician.
MAINTENANCE
Appliance Maintenance
1. Cut off the power supply. Turn off the appliance first
before disconnecting from power supply.
2. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Use lukewarm water
(below 40°C/104°F) on a soft, damp cloth to clean the
appliance if it is very dirty.
3. Never use volatile substances such as gasoline or
polishing powder to clean the appliance.
4. Never sprinkle water onto the main unit. It is
dangerous and electric shock may result.
Air Filter Maintenance
It is necessary to clean the air filter after using it
for about 100 hours. Clean it as follows:
1. Stop the appliance and remove the air filter.
2. Clean and reinstall the air filter. If the dirt is
conspicuous, wash it with a solution of detergent in
lukewarm water. After cleaning, dry it in a shaded
and cool place, then reinstall it.
3. Clean the air filter every two weeks if the air-
conditioner operates in an extremely dusty
environment.
Maintenance Before Storage
1. If the appliance will not be used for a long time,
be sure to pull out the rubber plug of the drain port
underside, in order to drain the water.
2. Keep the appliance running with fan only for a half
day on a sunshiny day to dry the appliance inside and
prevent form going moldy.
