  First, change the remote batteries. If that doesn't work, operate the remote at a distance less than 20 feet from the front of the appliance, pointing it at the control panel, and press the buttons with a slow, even motion and gentle pressure, as rapidly pressing buttons may cause a malfunction.

  Due to the larger heater outlet size and higher fan speed of the Duraflame Electric Heater, the hot air will not feel as hot to the touch as other heaters; this is normal operation.
